Sheri is the Founder and Owner of Balancing Arts Studio.
She is an Initiate of the Himalayan Institute Lineage, under the Spiritual leadership of Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD.
She is a member of the Himalayan Teacher’s Association, an experienced certified registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. She is a certified Meditation Instructor, Reiki Master Teacher and level one Thai Yoga Practitioner. She earned her yoga teacher certification from The Fon du Lac Center for Spirituality and Healing, Himalayan Institute Teacher Training.
She is a certified reflexology practitioner.
Her studies, writing and teaching in Somatics have included many contemporary approaches. Yoga studies have included Hatha, Kundalini, Thai, and alignment based methods. .

Her professional learning experiences include earning a MA in Curriculum and Instruction, a BS degree in Education, working as an elementary teacher and published author.
She is a contributing writer for Yoga International.
Sheri is the founder of Balancing Arts Studio.
In addition to guiding Yogic arts classes, she serves as the Founder and President of North Shore Academy of the Arts and is the founder, agent and an author with Willow Words Literary Agency.
Sheri enjoys spending time with family, friends and nature. She is a life-long student.

Laura Borg is an inspirational and enthusiastic Yoga and Mindfulness instructor with more than seven years’ experience. She is known for her friendly, warm, and welcoming style and is recognized among students for giving simple, clear, articulate directions. Positive results expressed by students include feeling calmer, happier, less anxious and better able to respond rather than react in stressful situations. She works with children (ages 6-12), adolescents and adults.
Laura’s focus includes teaching adult and youth students to develop focus and concentration, stability and self-control, strength and flexibility of body and mind, stress management and personal responsibility to themselves and to their community. She believes in tailoring instructions to the needs of individual students and encouraging students to focus awareness inward on the breath and notice the way their body feels. Laura has provided mindfulness training and yoga classes for several organizations, including Growing Minds, Inc., Form and Fitness Health Club, University School, St. Eugene School, Cass St. School, and Brown St. Academy. Prior to becoming a mindfulness and yoga instructor, Laura worked as a graphic designer for Ralph Lauren.
The mindfulness training curriculum is based on Growing Minds, MBSR, and several other techniques covering focus and attention, thoughts and emotions, kindness and compassion, social skills, and brain science. The effectiveness of these approaches on adults and youth has resulted in better focus and concentration, calmer minds and bodies, increased empathy, decreased stress and anxiety, responsive rather than reactive behavior, calmer transitions, and more opportunity for better communication.
Laura Borg received her yoga certification from Kanyakamari Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Center: 240 hour program, Yoga ed.: Yoga Education for students K-8, and Global Family Yoga: focusing on Child Development from the Yoga Perspective, and Positive Action Language for Families, Teachers and Friends. She received her mindfulness training from Growing Minds, Inc.: Mindfulness curriculum training K-12 and Foundations of Mindful Living, Rooted in Mindfulness: MBSR 10 week course, and Learning to Breathe: Mindfulness Curriculum Training for Adolescents.
Mary Rickert took her yoga teacher training at Govardhan Eco Village in India, from Gopi Kinnicutt (of Bhakti Yoga in Washington D. C.) and is a certified instructor with Yoga Alliance.
She was a kindergarten teacher for ten years at Eldorado School for the Gifted in Orange, California.
She also lived and worked in Sequoia National park where she spent her time off hiking and exploring the wilderness.
She returned to Wisconsin, where she was born, and lives in Cedarburg where she works as a writer of stories with mythic and mystical elements such as her award winning novel, The Memory Garden and her short story collection, You Have Never Been Here.
She holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts.

As the founder of SomaTalk Enterprises, I practice and pursue modalities that work closely with the Body/Mind connection including therapeutic treatments, sessions and educational courses focused on somatic awareness, bodywork, education and coaching.
I am an instructor/practitioner of bodywork therapies and am published on specialized techniques relevant to improving structural comfort, pain relief, and restorative relaxation.
In addition to holding.a Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I am a graduate of the Lakeside School of Massage Therapy, (2000) in Milwaukee and a Certified Teacher of Unified Body Method TM (2013), a somatic movement and therapy approach founded by Erik Knuth. UBM TM teaches us how to discover embodied wisdom, integrate subtle movements, and restore balance. I currently teach UBM and SomaTalk classes at Balancing Arts Studio in Grafton.

Movement Specialist Adley Paape received a BS in Kinesiology and is an ACSM certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and certified Nutritionist from the College of Health & Science. She has been training, teaching, and coordinating wellness programs since 2013. Adley is the founder of Connection is the Energy – healing yourself is connected to healing others – move for health, move for clarity, move for strength, move for confidence. She is excited to join the Balancing Arts Studio Team and offers Mindful Movement Coaching, Mind-Body Boot Camp, and Barre & Beyond Classes. Movement is a way to express our bodies strength, power, skill, and emotions. In a private session or small group setting work on improving your functional fitness, muscular profile, mind-body connection, and enhancing your overall wellbeing.

Johanna is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a Certified
Holistic Health & Nutrition Coach, and a Certified Reiki Practitioner. She
graduated from the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at Mosaic
Wellness in Germantown, WI in June 2017, and she received her Health &
Nutrition training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She recently received her Reiki Level 2 attunement and certification in the Usui Method of Natural Healing.
Her Yoga training is rooted in Hatha Yoga, and she focuses on bringing proper alignment, breathwork, and a sense of relaxation into each practice to help cultivate balance between mind, body, and spirit.
During her Health & Nutrition training, she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods. Prior to attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Johanna received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
Drawing on the knowledge she has gained throughout her studies, she will help you create a balanced and healthy lifestyle based on your unique goals. She has a long-time, ongoing passion for health and wellness, and she is committed to supporting others throughout their journey of achieving mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Her specialties include private & group Yoga classes, individual Health & Nutrition consulting, and private Reiki sessions. She is honored to be part of the Balancing Arts community and looks forward to seeing you at the studio!
Annie studied Marketing, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and German at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She specializes in using website design and marketing strategy to draw new customers and keep existing customers actively engaged in her clients’ offerings. She aids small businesses and independents in creating a brand and image that speaks to their customer market and folding that brand into their website and marketing materials. Her variety of offerings and hands-on approach assure that all the moving parts of marketing and branding are working together consistently and accurately in targeting customers who are genuinely interested in the products/services the business offers. She works one-on-one with business owners, so their personal touch is not lost in their brand or message!
